Ingredients

Meatballs
  • 500g Quality Mark beef mince

  • 1 garlic clove

    crushed
  • ½ onion

    grated
  • ¼ cup parsley

    chopped
  • ½ cup fresh breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp salt and pepper

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cups tomato pasta sauce

  • 1 cup basil leaves

  • 200g spaghetti pasta

To Serve
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • basil leaves

Method

In a large bowl, place the mince, garlic, onion, parsley, breadcrumbs, egg, salt and pepper mixing well. Roll into walnut-sized balls. Refrigerate until ready to cook.

Cook the spaghetti as per packet instructions.

To cook the beef balls, heat the oil in a large frying pan. Cook them in two batches if need to be browned on all sides. Once they are all brown add the pasta sauce and basil leaves to the pan until bubbling and balls are cooked through.

Serve on top of the cooked pasta with a sprinkle of parmesan and basil leaves.
