During the lockdown Kiwi chefs haven’t been able to work from home, but many top chefs whose restaurants have temporarily closed due to the coronavirus outbreak are serving up the next best thing: sharing free home-cooking videos on social media. Here are some of our favourites to get you started.
Jack Crosti / Number 5 Restaurant
2020 Beef + Lamb Ambassador Jack Crosti of Number 5 Restaurant has used the lockdown period to launch a new cooking channel on YouTube - Lockdown Cookdown. Jack’s videos feature Italian classics like Trofie al Pesto, Savoiardi, and Tagliatelle, as well as family favourites like Burgers and Sourdough.
Pablo Tacchini
Ambassador chef Pablo Tacchini is cooking up a storm with his family. Their easy-to-follow recipes include things like Gnocci and Ciabatta.
Darren Wright
Beef + Lamb Platinum Ambassador Chef Daren Wright of Chillingworth Road in Christchurch is serving up a series of mouthwatering cooking demos on his Facebook page. His lamb shoulder curry is a particular highlight.
