Jarrod has been cooking since the age of 15. He apprenticed with Jason Blackie at Sails and since then has worked with great chefs like Nick Honeyman, James Pask and Tom Hishon. He landed his first head chef role at the age of 24 and has been developing his own style ever since then. Most recently Jarrod has been head chef at Rothko at The Sculptureum in Matakana. In 2019 Jarrod was made a Beef + Lamb Ambassador Chef. Jarrod's style is simplistic food with large bold flavours and a lot of the time, unusual pairings.
