Let's Talk About Rump Steak

We adore steak and while we all adore a great eye fillet, or a lovely scotch steak, we’d love to introduce you to rump steak – the most underrated cut in the steak family. A steak lover's steak, rump is superior in flavour and comes in larger portions, making it ideal for entertaining a crowd.

A traditional slice of rump steak gives a cross section of several muscles with the grains running in many different ways. This means there are varying degrees of tenderness across the meat. The key is not to over-cook it – sear it hot and fast and allow it to rest.

These 10 recipes are all the great rumpy inspiration you need, from chargrilled kebabs to Asian salads and barbecue perfection.
