Method

To Assemble Patties
1

Using your hands, mix together in a large bowl the mince along with the salt, pepper and paprika.

2

Form large patties, roughly 2 cm thick and place into the refrigerator on a plate until your toppings are assembled.

To Cook
1

Preheat your BBQ over high heat for 10 minutes. When hot, grease the grates with oil. Toast the buns for about 30 seconds, cut side down, until they’re golden brown. Remove from the heat.

2

Add the patties to the grill and cook on each side for about 3 to 4 minutes.

3

Remove the patties from the heat and allow them to rest for 5 minutes.

4

Add the cheese slices to the tops of the burgers and cover the grill for about 1 minute, just until the cheese is all melty.

5

If you don't have a BBQ you can also follow the same instructions on a stove-top.

To Assemble the Burgers
1

Spread your desired sauces (aioli, mustard, tomato) on the burger buns.

2

Arrange everything else on the table, letting everyone dig in and make their own burgers with whatever toppings they desire.
