Step into our Christmas
The team at Beef + Lamb are, unsurprisingly, full of foodies! And for Christmas, there’s no rest for the food-obsessed! The main ingredients include family, food and wine...
We take a look at the team’s traditions and what they’re looking forward to this year
Caroline, Communications Manager
We changed our gift giving format to a Secret Santa style a few years ago which has been a real hit and heaps of fun – this will kick start the day. Food-wise we’ll be grazing from mid-morning with yummy nibble and after getting the kids to expend some of their boundless energy at the beach, we’ll sit down for a late lunch with lamb, ham and salads. This year, we’ll be giving this lamb recipe a go!
Oscar, Videographer and Marketing Coordinator
Our Christmas eve is always capped off with the opening of ONE present each from under the tree... then the big day is kicked off with a round of greedy Santa - a game of swapping and stealing presents, always full of laughter. It's a general rule that no one can steal from Nana Pam - cousin Hannah made this mistake in 2014 with the snatching of an umbrella, and has never been forgiven. Food-wise, we have a whole beef and lamb rump to all tuck into, something quite like this Festive Roast Beef.
Kirsten, Digital and Social Manager
Christmas Eve is spent at my parents place. Friends and our family gather for a potluck barbecue, a swim in the pool and then we open Secret Santa decorations for the tree. This year, I’ll be bringing these Mustard Beef Potato Bites and a few salads fresh from the garden.
Katrina, Nutrition Marketing and Communications Manager
We’ve embraced the Smart Christmas concept for years. Every Christmas we cook everything up so we can enjoy a relaxing, stress (and dishes) free Christmas day. Breakfast is always bucks fizz and scorched almond while we open presents. Lunch is usually cold lamb sandwiches and salads.
Regina, Nutrition and Sustainability Manager
This year we’re having an early Christmas celebration while my son and partner are visiting from Canada. Because it’s not on the 24th, we’re going full-on meat with a roast leg of lamb, baked ham and everyone is bringing a salad or dessert to contribute to the table.
Victoria, Designer
We usually have a Christmas lunch at my parents with turkey and a leg of lamb, followed by Mums Christmas pudding and my Aunties Pavlova. This year is different, a BBQ at my sisters with the customary leg of lamb but a few steaks thrown in there too! I'm on salad duty, think I will make this blue cheese beauty…
